The Cursed Land is an extra-large, expert-rated map of 144 by 144 tiles that includes an underground level. It is built for eight players, all of whom can be human, with no teams and no computer-only colors. Each player starts with a different faction, running from Castle through Inferno, and the map is mostly rock and water, with water covering about 30 percent of the surface. A victory comes from building a Grail structure, and a player loses after losing all towns and heroes. The map has ten towns and thirteen heroes at the start, plus wandering monsters such as Earth Elementals, Gremlins, and Diamond Golems. Players will also find dwellings, mines, creature banks, and artifacts such as the Dragon Scale Shield and Endless Purse of Gold. It was made for Restoration of Erathia.
