The Baltic Sea — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The Baltic Sea is an extra large Shadow of Death map measuring 144 by 144, played on the surface and rated hard. Eight players can all be human, with no preset teams, and each player starts with a random faction. Water covers a little under two fifths of the map, and grass, snow and sand make up most of the rest. The author frames it as the opening of a Baltic conflict. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing every town and hero. The map holds 24 towns, 120 mines and 10 creature banks, along with the Grail and placed artifacts such as Armageddon's Blade and Angelic Alliance. Dragons guard several dwellings, and 220 random monster stacks roam the land.
