The attempt fo live — SoD

The attempt fo live is a large underground map for Shadow of Death, measuring 108 by 108 and played on Impossible difficulty. Five colors take part, but only one seat is for a human player; Blue, Tan, Green and Orange are run by the computer, and no teams are set. Red plays Rampart, Blue Fortress, Tan Stronghold, Green Conflux and Orange Inferno. Winning requires building a Grail structure, which is also the standard victory, while a player loses once all of their towns and heroes are gone. Rock covers almost half the surface, with water around a fifth and grass and snow making up the rest. The map holds 13 towns and a Grail, along with 42 mines, 18 creature banks and 151 random monster stacks. Notable wanderers include Efreet Sultans, Ice Elementals and a Master Genie, and placed artifacts include the Amulet of the Undertaker and Cards of Prophecy.
