The World of Islands is a hard, medium-sized map measuring 72 by 72 tiles, with both a surface level and an underground level. It is built for three players, all of whom can be human, and there are no teams. Each player starts with a random faction. Rock covers about 47 percent of the map and water about 28 percent, dividing the land into many islands above and below ground. The author suggests racing to the large central island, which holds plenty of resources and artifacts. Other highlights include 23 mines, 17 creature banks, 24 monoliths and portals, 48 wandering monster stacks, and the Grail. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses after losing all towns and heroes.
