Shogun — RoE

Shogun is an extra large, 144 by 144 map for Restoration of Erathia at Normal difficulty, set on the surface with no underground level. Its author describes a Japanese setting in 1530, when warlords called daimyo wage constant war, and eight clans compete for the title of shogun by defeating one another. Eight players take part, all of them human-capable, with no teams and no computer-only colors. The clans field Stronghold, Tower, Fortress, Castle, Dungeon, Inferno, Rampart and Necropolis. Water covers about 76 percent of the map, with grass making up most of the rest. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map holds 12 towns, 59 mines, 64 random monster stacks, 20 random artifacts, a Grail, and three creature banks, along with a seer hut and a timed event.
