Shady Vale — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Shady Vale is a small underground map measuring 36 by 36 tiles, rated for expert play and set in a land that has been overrun by creatures from beyond the world, as the author describes it. Two players are placed, but only one can be human, with the Red side run by the computer; Red plays Inferno and Green plays Rampart, and there are no teams. Terrain is mostly grass and lava, with rock and swamp making up the rest. Victory requires defeating a specific hero, and the player loses if a specific hero is lost. The map holds three towns, four heroes, and a number of wandering monster stacks, including skeleton warriors, hydras, and behemoths. Dwellings offer creatures such as demons and pit fiends, and the Blackshard of the Dead Knight is placed on the map alongside the Grail.
