Run the Gauntlet — AB

Run the Gauntlet is a small underground map of 36 by 36 tiles for Armageddon's Blade, set for expert difficulty. Its premise is a race to reach the legendary Armageddon's Blade, which lies somewhere below ground, while four rival lords are also searching for it. Six players share the map, but only one can be human, with the other five controlled by the computer. The players form three teams, and the factions include Necropolis, Castle, Stronghold, Rampart, and Dungeon. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while the player loses if a specific hero falls. The terrain is mostly grass and rock, with some subterranean and dirt areas. Notable features include the Blade itself, five towns, several wandering monster stacks such as Behemoths and Griffins, and fourteen random artifacts, along with mines, monoliths, and timed events.
