Release is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for In the Wake of Gods. The story describes a continent broken into many pieces by mountains after an earthquake blamed on Satan. The aim is to find the Black Abode and slay Satan, the only path to saving the people. Seven players share the map, only one of them human, and no teams are used. Factions are Castle, Tower, two Inferno players, Rampart, Necropolis, and Stronghold. Rock dominates the terrain, with dirt, lava, and rough ground, and almost no water. Expect 14 towns, 37 mines, and 67 random artifacts, with Impossible difficulty set. Victory means capturing one specific town, and a loss occurs if one specific hero dies.
