Quest Land is a medium underground map for Shadow of Death, sized 72 by 72 and played on normal difficulty. Four colors take part, but only one human player is allowed, and the other three are computer-controlled. Two teams compete: Tan plays Dungeon, Green plays Stronghold, and Red and Blue draw random factions. Grass, rock, water, and subterranean ground make up the terrain, with water covering about a fifth of it. Wandering Devils, Efreet, Phoenixes, and a Black Dragon roam the land, and artifacts such as the Titan's Cuirass lie around the map. Victory requires destroying every enemy, while a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Players are encouraged to gather quest rewards before eliminating opponents.
