Piggy in the Middle (WOG) — WoG

Piggy in the Middle is a medium-sized underground map of 72 by 72 tiles, built for In the Wake of Gods and played on a Hard setting. Five colors take part, split into two teams, and only one player can be human, with the other four controlled by the computer. Each side's faction is random. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The land is mostly grass, rock and dirt, with a sliver of water. Nine towns, many wandering monsters including rogues and dragons, twelve creature banks, thirty-nine mines and numerous placed artifacts such as the Boots of Speed and several Orbs fill the map. The author describes a hero who is outnumbered and must push through dangerous roads toward enemies, and the map uses several gameplay mods.
