Nostalgy — SoD

Nostalgy is a large underground map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death, measuring 108 by 108 with an underground level. It is rated Hard and supports four players, with Red controlled by the computer and up to three human players. There are no fixed teams, and every player starts with a random faction. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers about half the map, with water around a fifth and snow and grass making up the rest. The map holds ten towns, many wandering monster stacks, 36 mines, 15 creature banks and six monoliths or portals. Notable finds include the Grail, three named artifacts and 36 randomly placed artifacts. The author's brief note describes the map as a labor of love.
