Nexus Polaris is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death with an underground level, rated Hard. Seven players compete, all of them human-controlled, split into three teams, and each player commands a different faction: Stronghold, Tower, Conflux, Inferno, Necropolis, Rampart and Fortress. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Water covers about 29 percent of the land, with rock, rough ground and grass making up most of the rest. The map holds 24 towns, 110 mines and 15 creature banks, along with 10 monoliths and portals. Wandering Sharpshooters and elementals are common, and the Grail is placed on the map. Among the artifacts are Armageddon's Blade and the Sword of Judgement.
