Mountains of Despair — RoE

Mountains of Despair is a large 108 by 108 underground map for Restoration of Erathia, played at Normal difficulty. Five players compete, up to four of them human, while the Orange Inferno player is computer-only. No teams are set. Two Castle players, a Fortress, a Necropolis, and the Inferno all share the field, and the challenge is whether the Inferno can be beaten. Victory means capturing one specific town, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers about 38 percent of the ground and water about 19 percent. The map holds 10 towns, 49 mines, 57 random artifacts, and three monoliths or portals, plus wandering imps, serpent flies, and water elementals.
