Mountains of Despair — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Mountains of Despair is a large underground map measuring 108 by 108 tiles, played on normal difficulty in the Restoration of Erathia version. Five players compete, and up to four can be human, while the Orange Inferno player is computer-controlled. No teams are set. Factions include two Castles, a Fortress, a Necropolis, and the Inferno. Rock covers roughly 38 percent of the land, with water and lava making up much of the rest. The map has 10 towns and 49 mines, plus 57 random artifacts. Victory requires capturing one specific town, while a player is eliminated after losing every town and hero.
