Monster Island 1.01 is an Extra Large underground-enabled map for Armageddon's Blade, sized 144 by 144 and set at Impossible difficulty. Eight players can take part, all of them human if the room is full, split into four teams of two. Each player leads a different faction, from Castle and Tower through to Necropolis and Dungeon. Victory requires defeating every enemy, while a player loses once all of their towns and heroes are gone. About a quarter of the surface is water, with grass, swamp and rough ground covering much of the rest. The map is dense with wandering monsters, including dragons, elementals and Phoenixes, along with 34 towns, 48 seer huts, 125 mines and 57 creature banks. Artifacts are scattered across it, and the Grail is placed somewhere on the map.
