Начало пути is a medium 72x72 map for Heroes of Might and Magic III, set partly underground and rated Expert. Its storyline, as the description suggests, follows necromancers who spent years gathering strength in deep dungeons to conquer the imperial land of Latrikia, and two heroes who must stand against their endless undead armies. Four players take part, with up to two human players, and the computer controls Green and Pink. The players form three teams, and the factions are Rampart, Castle, Necropolis, and Stronghold. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map has ten towns, forty mines, twenty-three creature banks, and many wandering monsters, along with a number of named artifacts placed around the map.
