Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Legend of Xartas is an Expert-rated Extra Large map (144 by 144) with an underground level, made for In the Wake of Gods. Devils have invaded the world of Xartas, and the story is about driving them back. It is adapted from The Mandate of Heaven. Eight colors take part, but only one can be human, and the other seven are computer-controlled, forming six teams. The factions are Castle, Tower, Inferno, Rampart, Stronghold, Fortress, Dungeon and Necropolis. Victory requires capturing one specific town, and a side is eliminated after losing all its towns and heroes. Heroes are capped at level one. Rock covers about a third of the land and water roughly a fifth. The map includes 19 towns, 49 mines, 46 seer huts, 31 monoliths and portals, and the Grail, along with wandering lizardmen, wood elves and walking dead.
