Land Without Mercy is a large map for In the Wake of Gods, measuring 108 by 108 tiles, with an underground level and the Impossible difficulty. It has eight player slots, up to two of them human, arranged into four teams, while six colors are computer-only. The description tells of tribes who settled a sandy island after a rift between worlds, then were raided through monoliths opened by enemy forces, until the great mages posted guards there and disappeared. Sand covers about 30 percent of the surface, with lava, water and subterranean ground making up much of the rest. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses after losing all towns and heroes. Notable features include the Grail, 18 towns, 49 monoliths and portals, 66 random artifacts, and wandering Leprechauns.
