Lands of the Sorcerers is an extra large underground map for eight players, all of whom can be human, with no teams. The author's description suggests that only a true sorcerer can govern this realm, bringing every rival under one rule and declaring oneself the supreme mage. Players are assigned Castle, Rampart, Fortress, Tower, Dungeon, Inferno, Necropolis, or Stronghold, depending on their color. The Normal difficulty map is mostly rock, subterranean ground, dirt, and swamp, with no water. It contains 16 towns, 21 heroes, 121 creature banks, and 24 monoliths and portals, plus 48 mines and 19 seer huts. Named artifacts such as the Pendant of Holiness and the Hourglass of the Evil Hour are scattered across the land. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero.
