四面楚歌 — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The title, meaning surrounded on all sides, fits this large underground map, which measures 108 by 108 and is rated Expert. Six players share the field across two teams, with up to two human players and four computer-only colors. The factions are Castle, Rampart, Inferno, Fortress, Stronghold, and Conflux. The author advises steady expansion over a quick rush, since the starting area is hemmed in by enemies and connected to the rest of the map by a single road. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The terrain is mostly rock, subterranean, and swamp, with no water. Notable features include ten towns, 73 mines, 19 seer huts, two monoliths or portals, 84 random artifacts, and a timed event.
