Смутное Время — SoD

The map Смутное Время, which translates roughly as "The Time of Troubles," is a large 108 by 108 surface map for Shadow of Death rated Impossible. Its author's description evokes once peaceful provinces thrown into chaos by rulers hungry for power, with the player cast as a defender of the realm. Five colors are present, four of which can be played by humans, and Blue is reserved for the computer. Players form three teams and field Rampart, Necropolis, Castle, Fortress, and Tower. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Water covers about 35 percent of the land, with grass, dirt, and snow making up the rest. Twelve towns, 41 mines, and a Grail are scattered across the map, alongside 30 random artifacts, nine creature banks, and ten monoliths and portals. Wandering Ice Elementals and Gorgons also roam the lands.
