Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Heart of the Forest is an extra large Shadow of Death map measuring 144 by 144 tiles, with an underground level and a Hard rating. It supports eight players, but only one can be human, so the other seven are computer-controlled. The players form two teams, and the factions include Necropolis, Rampart, Tower, Fortress, Inferno, Castle, Dungeon, Conflux and Stronghold. The story follows three heroes who challenge a forest ruler and his allies. Victory requires defeating one specific hero, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers 47 percent of the map and water 41 percent. Highlights include the Grail, the artifact Titan's Thunder, 19 towns and 27 mines.
