Seven Circles of Hell is an extra large underground map for Shadow of Death, played at Normal difficulty on a 144 by 144 grid. Seven players take part, but only one seat is human, and the other six colors are controlled by the computer. No teams are set. The factions are Castle, Stronghold, Necropolis, Tower, Inferno and Fortress, and the Teal player starts with both Tower and Necropolis. Victory requires seizing the Grail, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. Lava covers about 17 percent of the terrain, alongside rock, grass and water. Scattered across the map are 6 towns, 57 mines, 10 monoliths and portals, 273 random monster stacks, and several notable artifacts, including Armageddon's Blade.
