Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
This large 108x108 map for Shadow of Death has an underground level and is set on impossible difficulty. Five players take part, but only one can be human, and the other four colors are computer-controlled. The players belong to three teams and field Castle, Fortress, Tower, Inferno, and Necropolis. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. About a quarter of the map is water and nearly a third is rock. The map holds 11 towns, 63 mines, 16 monoliths and portals, two seer huts, and the Grail. Notable finds include Angel Wings, Boots of Speed, and wandering Archangel and Gold Golem stacks. The author suggests exploring the surface first and warns that the underground inhabitants are a tough opponent.
