This Hard two-player map for Shadow of Death is small at 36 by 36 and includes an underground level. Red plays Rampart and Teal plays Castle, with both seats held by humans and no teams. To win, a player must defeat all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Water covers about 27 percent of the surface, with rock, grass, and subterranean ground making up most of the rest. The map holds three towns, 28 random artifacts, 14 mines, six seer huts, eight creature banks, and five monoliths or portals. Wandering monsters include dragons, an ice elemental, and a wraith, and 81 random monster stacks are scattered across the map. The author's note suggests that uncertainty can mean broad choice, can be resolved over time, or can decide the outcome through the actions taken.
