"Attack on Sir Sombreus" is a medium surface map for Shadow of Death, measuring 72 by 72 and rated expert. According to the author, necromancers from the south hired an assassin who badly wounded Sir Sombreus, and the assassin confessed under torture, so the hero sets out for revenge. Four players take part, with one human player at most. The Blue, Tan and Green players are computer-controlled. The Red player plays Castle, while the other three play Necropolis, and the players form two teams. Water covers about two thirds of the map, with lava and grass making up most of the rest. Four towns, one placed hero, 26 random monster stacks, 23 mines and two creature banks are spread across it, and the Angelic Alliance artifact is placed on the map. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes.
