Extermination is a large underground map of 108 by 108 tiles, set on Impossible difficulty for four players. Only one seat is human. Red, Blue, Tan and Green are the colors, and the last three are run by the computer. There are no teams. Red and Green play Rampart, Blue plays Inferno, and Tan plays Tower. Rock covers about half the surface, with water around a fifth, plus grass and lava. Victory requires flagging every creature dwelling, and defeat comes when a player loses all towns and heroes. The author's note is a playful boast about feeling mighty and wanting to hunt bigger prey, and it promises a long campaign. The map includes 5 towns, 7 heroes, 26 mines, and artifacts such as the Helm of Chaos and the Shield of the Dwarven Lords.
