War of Continents is a large Shadow of Death map for eight players, with an underground level and an Expert rating. No teams are set, and all eight seats can be human. The author presents it as a tournament where the strongest players from the Third Lands meet to settle which continent is the mightiest. Each player controls one faction: Castle, Tower, Necropolis, Rampart, Conflux, Inferno, Fortress or Dungeon. The map covers about 108 by 108 tiles, mostly rock with some rough and dirt ground and a little water. Eighteen towns and eighteen heroes are placed at the start, and wandering monsters such as an Azure Dragon, a Hydra and a Minotaur King roam the land. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing every town and hero. The map also holds 84 mines, 78 random artifacts and 13 seer huts.
