Battle of the Titans is an Extra Large map of 144 by 144 tiles with an underground level, set for the Shadow of Death version and played on Impossible difficulty. It supports eight players, with up to six human participants, since the Purple and Pink colors are computer-only. The players form five teams and are assigned Castle, Tower, Dungeon, Rampart, Fortress, Inferno, Stronghold, and Necropolis. Rock covers about 30 percent of the terrain and water about 21 percent. The map holds 47 towns and 25 starting heroes, and its most numerous wandering monsters are Azure Dragon stacks. Mines, monoliths and portals, and 80 random artifacts are scattered across the land. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses upon losing all towns and heroes.
