Step by Step is a medium 72 by 72 map for Armageddon's Blade, with an underground level and six player slots that can all be human. The players form three teams, and each starts with a random faction. The author describes a harsh winter that split a once-unified kingdom, and the aim now is to gradually restore it as the cold passes. Subterranean, rock, dirt, and rough ground make up most of the terrain, with about nine percent water. The map contains fifteen towns, 53 mines, 131 random monster stacks, 20 random artifacts, ten creature banks, four seer huts, two monoliths or portals, and one timed event. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Difficulty is normal.
