Step by Step is a medium Armageddon's Blade map measuring 72 by 72 tiles, with an underground level at Normal difficulty. Its premise is that a harsh winter has split a once-unified realm, and the task is to gradually restore it now that the cold has passed. Six players can take part, all of them human-controllable, with no teams and random factions for every color. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. Subterranean, rock, dirt and rough ground cover most of the terrain, with about nine percent water. The map contains 15 towns, 131 wandering monster stacks, 53 mines, 10 creature banks, 20 artifacts, four seer huts, two monoliths or portals, and one timed event.
