Unexpected Inheritance is a two-player map for Armageddon's Blade, set on a medium 72 by 72 grid with an underground level and Normal difficulty. A distant relative has died and left a castle and holdings to the player, but a neighboring relative is far from pleased about it. Red has the Rampart and Dungeon factions, Blue has Tower and Dungeon, and there are no teams. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. The terrain is mostly rock, grass and snow, with some subterranean ground and very little water. The map holds five towns, 63 random monster stacks, two Black Knight stacks, 25 mines, six creature banks, seven monoliths and portals, and 27 timed events. Two placed artifacts stand out: the Hourglass of the Evil Hour and the Spirit of Oppression.
