Pirates! is a medium 72x72 surface map for Restoration of Erathia at Normal difficulty. Most of its area is sea, about 52 percent, with the rest split between grass and dirt. The map supports five players, but only one can be human, and the other four colors are computer-controlled with no teams. The human player's Red side has a random faction, while the computer opponents are Fortress, Stronghold, Tower, and Castle. The story centers on islands where pirates live. A small force must take a castle and use it as a base against them. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map has five towns, 29 mines, 12 random artifacts, one creature bank, and 39 random monster stacks, and its dwellings include Griffins, Unicorns, and Gremlins.
