Always Ready is a small surface map for Restoration of Erathia, measuring 36 by 36 tiles and played on Normal difficulty. Four players can take part, with up to two controlled by humans, while the Green and Orange colors are left to the computer. Red and Blue receive random factions, Green plays Fortress, and Orange plays Stronghold. The players are grouped into three teams, and victory requires defeating all enemies. A player loses once every town and hero is gone. The terrain is mostly rough, with grassland covering the rest and no water. The map holds four towns, six pre-placed heroes, 31 wandering monster stacks, 15 artifacts, seven mines, and two timed events.
