The description compares it to the card game Magic: The Gathering, in which wizards defeat rivals with spells and summoned creatures, drawing on five schools of magic. Four teams share the map, and the Red, Tan, Green and Teal players are computer-controlled. Factions include Inferno, Stronghold, Rampart, Tower and two Necropolis players. Victory requires capturing one specific town, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Water covers about 31 percent of the terrain, with lava, rock and sand making up much of the rest. Notable features include three Bone Dragon stacks, a Ghost Dragon, 64 mines, and the Orb of Tempestuous Fire.
