The Luck of the Irish is an extra large underground map of 144 by 144 tiles, built for up to eight players, with seven human seats and one computer-only color. Its difficulty is set to hard, and there are no teams, so every player fights for themselves. Each color starts with a different town type, covering Fortress, Tower, Stronghold, Rampart, Castle, Dungeon, Inferno and Necropolis. Victory comes from defeating all enemies, while a player loses once every town and hero is gone. Rock covers about a third of the land, with water making up roughly a sixth. The map holds 35 towns, 18 heroes, and a Grail, along with a few placed artifacts such as the Lion's Shield of Courage, the Orb of Inhibition and the Torso of Legion. Wandering stacks include Power Liches, Thunderbirds and a Bone Dragon, and the map also has 142 mines and 31 creature banks.
