Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
This single-player map, named after The Lord of the Rings, centers on destroying the Ring in the fires of Mordor with the Fellowship. It is an extra large 144 by 144 map with underground levels and a Hard difficulty setting. Five colors are defined, but only one can be human, and Blue, Tan, Purple and Teal are computer-only. There are no teams. Factions include Dungeon, Necropolis, Rampart and Inferno. Victory requires defeating one specific hero, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers about 47 percent of the terrain, with dirt at 19 percent, water at 14 and lava at 8. Notable contents include the Grail, Armageddon's Blade, 16 towns, 57 mines, 14 creature banks and roaming Minotaurs and Rocs.
