.Lord of the Rings. — AB
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Lord of the Rings is an extra large 144 by 144 map for Armageddon's Blade, rated hard and including an underground level. Its goal is to destroy the Ring in the fires of Mordor alongside the Fellowship. Six players take part, with two human seats at most, and the Blue, Tan, Purple and Teal colors are reserved for computer control. There are no teams. Red and Green play Rampart, Blue and Purple play Dungeon, Tan plays Necropolis, and Teal plays Inferno. Victory requires defeating one specific hero, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers about 47 percent of the terrain, with dirt, water and lava making up much of the rest. Sixteen towns, 57 mines and 14 creature banks are spread across the map, and the Grail and Armageddon's Blade are both placed on it.
