Lord of the Rings — WoG
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
This Extra Large 144 by 144 map draws on Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and aims to closely reproduce the scenery of Middle-earth. It has an underground level and a Hard rating. Eight players can take part, all of them controllable by humans, split into two teams. The factions are Castle, Inferno, Rampart, Stronghold, Conflux, and Tower, with one player starting with both Rampart and Conflux. Rock covers the largest share of the land, followed by rough ground, dirt, and water. The map holds 28 towns, 118 mines, and 20 seer huts, along with wandering orcs and goblins, a Green Dragon dwelling, and artifacts such as Dragon Scale Armor and the Pendant of Free Will. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses by losing every town and hero.
