Life or Darkness — WoG
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Life or Darkness is an Extra Large underground map measuring 144 by 144 tiles, built for In the Wake of Gods and rated Expert. Five players are placed, with Red and Blue playing Castle, Orange and Green playing Stronghold, and Tan playing Necropolis. Tan and Green are computer-only, so up to three humans can take part, and there are no teams. Most of the terrain is rock, with grass, some water, and patches of rough ground. Victory requires defeating one specific hero, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The author's description suggests relying on your own strength and trusted allies, since the undead king Morter must be defeated before he reaches you. Highlights include seven placed artifacts, 55 random artifacts, 16 monoliths and portals, and wandering Crusaders.
