Les Grands Bretons — RoE

Les Grands Bretons is a medium 72 by 72 map with an underground level, built for two players, one human on each side. The Red player controls a Tower town and the Blue player a Castle, with no teams and no computer-only colors. The author's description sets the story in the 2050s, with war brewing between two tribes and a call to take up arms; the map itself is mostly rock, with water covering about a fifth of the ground, plus patches of swamp and grass. Each side starts with two heroes, and two towns are placed on the map alongside fourteen mines, three creature banks, and an array of wandering monster stacks, including Gnolls, Lizardmen, Thunderbirds and Cyclops. Ten named artifacts are scattered about, and a stack of Unicorns guards one dwelling. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses once all their towns and heroes are gone.
