Legacy of Dragons is a large underground map of 108 by 108 tiles, built for the Restoration of Erathia version and set at Normal difficulty. Its story centers on dragons who have lived peacefully below the surface for thousands of years until an outsider lizardman convinces them he is a god. Four kings take part, though only three can be human-controlled, since the Red player is reserved for the computer. Each player fights alone with no team alliances. The factions are Dungeon for Red, Necropolis for Blue, Dungeon for Tan, and Rampart for Green. Victory requires defeating a specific hero, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Dragons roam the map as wandering monsters, and dragon dwellings, a Behemoth, and several strong artifacts such as the Amulet of the Undertaker add to the challenge.
