Red, Blue, Green and Orange may pick any of the eight factions, while Teal and Pink are fixed to Fortress. About a quarter of the land is water. Ten towns and ten heroes are placed, along with twelve creature banks and 23 monoliths and portals. Wandering Faerie Dragons and Minotaurs roam the map, and the Centaur's Axe is among the placed artifacts. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses once every town and hero is gone.
