Land of Doom is an Extra Large 144 by 144 Armageddon's Blade map at Expert difficulty, with an underground level. Five players can take part, up to four of them human, and the Blue player is computer-only. There are no teams. Blue plays Castle and Rampart, Tan plays Inferno, Purple plays Necropolis, Teal plays Tower, and Pink plays Dungeon. Victory means defeating all enemies, and losing every town and hero ends a player's game. Terrain is mostly rock, dirt, subterranean ground and lava. Features include 24 towns, 8 heroes, 90 mines and 39 creature banks. The author warns that early weeks mean survival, and that Rampart and Castle lords are dangerous.
