Land of Deception is a large underground map for Heroes of Might and Magic III, built for the Restoration of Erathia version and sized 108 by 108 with an underground level. Six players start on it, with up to three controlled by humans, and five teams are set up. Red, Blue and Tan get random factions, while the three computer-only players fight as Inferno, Rampart and Stronghold. Water covers most of the map, with swamp, lava and sand making up much of the rest. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. The map holds sixteen towns and sixteen hero placements' worth of dwellings, mines and guarded sites, including wandering Water Elementals, Green Dragons and Skeletons, plus several artifact sets from the Legion series and the Angel Wings.
