Heralands — RoE

Heralands is a large underground map measuring 108 by 108, rated Hard, for five players in total, with up to four human participants and one computer-only color, Orange. Players are split into three teams, and every color starts with a random faction. The author's note frames the story as a land thrown into chaos, with the aim of eliminating rivals and restoring order. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers roughly half the terrain, with grass, water and swamp making up most of the rest. The map holds nine towns and six heroes at the start, along with wandering monsters such as hydras, gorgons and diamond golems. Dwellings offer creatures ranging from angels to bone dragons, and placed artifacts include several orbs and tomes. Mines, creature banks, monoliths and timed events are also scattered across the map.
