{Halo} — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Halo is an Extra Large 144x144 map for Shadow of Death with an underground level, built around a land of green meadows, bright groves, clear streams, and winding rivers. Eight players are placed, but only one can be human, the Green player, and the other seven are computer-controlled. There are no teams. The factions are Castle (Red and Blue), Fortress (Tan and Green), Tower, Conflux, Necropolis, and Rampart. The difficulty is Impossible. Water covers 47 percent of the map, with grass at 28 percent and sand at 8 percent. Victory comes from building a Grail structure, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map holds 48 towns, 16 heroes, 126 mines, 60 creature banks, and 24 monoliths and portals, along with the Grail and several placed artifacts.
