{Expedition — SoD

Expedition is a medium underground map for four players, each with a single human or computer slot, playing as Castle, Tower, Conflux and Inferno with no teams. The story, as the author tells it, is about four expeditions sent to study a hostile land that lost contact with home, leaving the player alone with a raging world and a single hope in elders who know the way out. The victory condition is to acquire a specific artifact, and the game is lost if time runs out after 336 days. Rock covers nearly half the terrain, grass about 41 percent, and water 9 percent. The map is set on Impossible difficulty and holds four towns, a large number of wandering monsters, twelve kinds of dwelling creatures, 37 mines, and 33 monoliths and portals. Several powerful orbs and tomes are scattered across it.
