Greyhawk is set in the original campaign world of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons multiverse. It is an extra large 144 by 144 map with an underground level, rated Expert. Eight rulers compete, with seven seats open to human players and the Purple seat run by the computer. There are no teams. Each color plays a different faction: Inferno, Castle, Stronghold, Rampart, Dungeon, Necropolis, Tower, and Fortress. Rock covers about a third of the map, water about a quarter, and subterranean and grass terrain make up much of the rest. Victory requires transporting a specific artifact, and a player loses once all their towns and heroes are gone. The map holds 30 towns, 119 mines, 40 creature banks, and 28 monoliths and portals, plus wandering Medusa Queen and Beholder stacks.

Author's description

This is the World of Greyhawk, the original campaign setting in the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons multi-verse. You and seven other powerful rulers now vie for control of this land in a mysterious contest, where you seek both an ancient artifact and control of the renowned City of Hawks.
