Gral-Qual is an extra-large, two-player underground map for Restoration of Erathia, with no teams and both sides' factions chosen at random. The author's note hints at a wide, open world with a search for the Grail, and the map delivers on that: 144 by 144 tiles, mostly rock, water, lava and sand, with water covering about 29 percent of the surface. Nineteen towns, five pre-placed heroes, 36 mines and a scattering of seer huts, creature banks and monoliths or portals give both players plenty to contest. The Grail is on the map and is the object of the search, alongside a large pool of artifacts and wandering monsters. Victory requires acquiring one specific artifact, and a player is defeated once they lose all their towns and heroes.
